Wire Design & Installation Engineer

Job Description:

- Develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs.

- Analyzes results and performs design reviews.

- Leads the team to analyze results and performs design reviews.

- Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests).

- Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities.

- Develops complex statements of work, metrics, schedules and budgets.

- Performs technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.

- Works under minimal direction.

- As a Senior Electrical Wiring Design and Integration Architect, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the design and integration of electrical wiring systems for complex projects.

- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and project managers, to ensure the successful implementation of electrical wiring solutions.

- Your expertise in electrical engineering, wiring design, and integration will be crucial in developing efficient and reliable electrical systems.

• Electrical System Design: Develop and design electrical wiring systems for various projects, considering factors such as power requirements, safety regulations, and project specifications.

• Integration Planning: Collaborate with project teams to determine the integration requirements of electrical wiring systems with other components, such as control systems, sensors, and actuators.

Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.

• System Optimization: Identify opportunities for system optimization, cost reduction, and improved efficiency in electrical wiring design and integration processes.

• Documentation and Reporting: Create detailed technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, schematics, and integration plans. Prepare progress reports and present findings to stakeholders.

• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing and verification of electrical wiring systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.

• Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of electrical wiring systems.

• Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and challenges related to electrical wiring design and integration and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and failures.

• Industry Knowledge: Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering, wiring design, and integration techniques, and apply them to improve processes and systems.

• Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations governing electrical wiring design and integration.

Education / Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
