Demand Planner

LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing organization, and they are seeking a highly motivated Demand Planner to join their team in Streamwood, IL. You will be responsible for forecast consumer demand, proposing and implementing solutions to enhance forecast accuracy, and monitoring significant changes in demand to align sales forecasts with business strategies. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work with large data sets. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to address demand related issues promptly and effectively, ensuring optimal production schedules and inventory management. Proficiency in advanced Excel and experience with SAP, particularly in the food manufacturing industry, are highly desirable. Key Responsibilities:

Demand Forecasting:

• Utilize historical data, market trends, and other relevant factors to forecast consumer demand accurately.
• Continuously refine forecasting models to improve accuracy and reliability.
• Monitor and analyze demand patterns to anticipate changes and adjust forecasts accordingly.

Solution Proposals and Implementation:

• Identify opportunities to enhance forecast accuracy and efficiency.
• Propose and implement solutions, such as process improvements or technological enhancements, to address forecasting challenges.

Monitoring and Reporting:

• Monitor significant changes in demand and sales forecasts and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Provide regular reports on forecast accuracy, highlighting key insights and areas for improvement.

Issue Resolution:

• Address demand-related issues promptly and effectively, collaborating with cross-functional teams to find solutions.
• Proactively identify potential bottlenecks or discrepancies in demand planning processes and take corrective actions.

Production Schedule Collaboration:

• Work closely with production teams to align demand forecasts with production schedules.
• Ensure timely and accurate communication of demand requirements to optimize inventory levels and minimize shortages or overages.

Data Analysis and Management:

• Extract, manipulate, and analyze large data sets to derive actionable insights.
• Comfortably work with a high SKU count environment, utilizing advanced Excel functions such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPS.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in demand planning or a similar analytical role.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPS.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems preferred.
• Prior experience in the food manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
