BIM Specialist

Position Summary

The BIM Specialist 1 will serve as an integral part of supporting the Life Time BIM/VDC strategy by creating content, ensuring compliance with BIM standards, developing and maintaining department best practices. The BIM Specialist 1 should be a general specialist of computer equipment and software applications that require setup and customization. The BIM Specialist 1 should also have experience working on BIM-enabled projects with an ability to demonstrate basic industry BIM knowledge.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develops content in support of the design teams, ensuring adherence to LT Standards. Understanding downstream key stakeholder workflows to ensure continuity with data exchange.
• Train other project team members in the access, use and management of electronic construction information.
• Provides support for general setup, configuration and customization of standard design and production applications and maintains a high level of competency of software through continued use and training.
• Serves as production / technical support on assigned projects as needed.
• Maintains and updates current LTF standards, documentation, and templates.
• Assists with BIM strategic direction and develops technical plans, protocols and workflows for continued implementation.

Required Qualifications

Years of Experience:

• 3+ of Revit content creation
• 3+ years of working in a BIM enabled environment

Education:

• Associates degree with a construction management and computer aided design & 3D modeling focus

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:

• Autodesk Revit Certified Professional (within the last 2 years of the current Revit version)

Other:

• Working knowledge of Autodesk AEC Collection Suite of applications; Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks Manage as well as BIM360/ACC

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction related field.
• Experience working with an Owner contributing to BIM plan development and execution.
• Experience developing training documentation and leading training sessions.
• LEED, IIDA, NCARB, or state licensure.
