Workforce Development CoordinatorHII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Workforce Development (WFD) Coordinator to support the Pacific Intelligence and Innovation Initiative (P3I) Program in Honolulu, Hawaii The Workforce Development Coordinator supervises HII's on island Workforce Development Program as a key contributor to the talent development strategy, responsible for cultivating pipelines for intern candidates who are prepared to meet industry demands. This role oversees the design and execution of structured internship program, mentorship initiatives, and career readiness activities that align with organizational objective and the P3I mission. In addition, this position monitors program performance metrics, supports outreach and community engagement efforts, and contributes to strategies for program growth and sustainability. The Workforce Development Coordinator may be called upon to assist corporate, government, academic, and industry partners in P3I with navigating the requirements of supporting security requirements associated with the P3I program.Reporting directly to the P3I Program Manager- this role is primarily based at the HII Honolulu Office, however the work location may fluctuate based on program requirements. Come join our growing team todayWhat you will do:Lead the Workforce Development Program for HII, Mission Technologies in HawaiiCoordinate operations as a liaison between the intern team, project manager, the program management office, and the Honolulu office leadership teamRecruit, assess, and manage a workforce development pool of interns, candidates, employees, and Skill bridge participantsManage intern hiring, onboarding, schedules, engagement, compliance, and developmentEstablish project plans, timelines, deliverables, and mentorship initiatives for intern professional developmentDevelop curriculum and oversee execution of a comprehensive summer internship programCollaborate across academic institutions, government, and industry partners on workforce development initiativesActively engage with the larger HII internship program monthly to identify resources and opportunities for Hawaii based interns and inform them of program progressAssist, track, and manage security clearance packets and process for candidates through HII security managersParticipate in local outreach events through career fairs, workshops, and community engagement activitiesAssess, capture, and report performance metrics for ensuring alignment with organizational goals, objectives, and contractual requirements to the project managerDevelop strategies for program growth and expansion to include engaging senior members of the HII team to provide mentorship, work experiences, and industry awarenessMentor junior team members on career pathways in support of P3I vision and goalsAssist with administrative duties for the Honolulu Office supporting day-to-day operationsAdditional duties as assigned or requiredWhat we are looking for:0 years experience with Bachelors in related field or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.Team player that actively participates in making the HII workspace a positive environment, and takes initiative to assist the greater teamMotivated to establish a career with Department of Defense support to INDOPACOMAbility to lead in team settings and mentoring junior members of workforce development effortsFamiliar with and willing to engage with local high schools and post-secondary education institutionsEffective written and verbal communication skillsClearance: Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCIBonus points for:Graduate of a local (Hawaii) high school programGraduate of a local (Hawaii) college or universityDegree or certifications related to Intelligence Studies, Information Technologies, Cyber Security, and/or Data ScienceParticipant in HII or P3I internship programsActive security clearancePhysical Requirements:Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.Why HII:We build the world's most powerful, survivable naval ships and defense technology solutions that safeguard our seas, sky, land, space and cyber.
