Momentum Civil is seeking a civil engineer-in-training to join our team. This is an opportunity to join a successful, authentic, and exciting firm led by seasoned professionals that offers civil engineering and land use planning services to a broad range of clients and project types. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and flexible with a zeal to learn new things. Our energetic, nimble firm will allow you to hone your skills in a variety of different tasks without the pigeon-holing and stagnation that can occur at larger traditional firms.Momentum Civil serves clients large and small, including local and national developers, tribal and city governments, and leading architectural firms. Our mission is to offer professional growth and opportunity to our people by focusing on providing excellent service to our clients.Our office is located in the financial district of downtown Tacoma-a vibrant, walkable area of the city with convenient access and public transportation options (both streetcar station and bus located on the same block as our office). Our office building boasts a new onsite gym for employees and beautifully renovated common areas.Qualifications:Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil EngineeringExcellent written communication skillsMicrosoft Word, Excel skillsPassing score on Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) TestInternship experience preferred (not required)AutoCAD Civil 3D experience Bluebeam Revu experienceStormwater modeling using WWHM and other software experience preferred (not required)Desired Candidate Traits:1-2 years of experience desired Self-MotivatedInquisitiveTeam-orientedFun with a good sense of humorTypical Job Tasks:Project research related to pertinent regulatory requirements, existing utilities, and reports prepared by other consultantsDesign of site plans, site grading, water, sewer, storm drainage systems within the Civil3D environmentPreparation of design calculations and reportsCoordinate with clients, subconsultants, municipalities and regulatory agenciesCompensation/Benefits:Competitive Salary, based on experience ($70k-$110k base)Automatic 3% 401(k) employer contribution every paycheck plus generous annual 401(k) profit sharingPerformance-based bonusesHealth Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Plan Long-Term Disability Insurance Health Savings Account with guaranteed employer contribution9-day / 80-hour work schedule (every other Friday off)8 Paid HolidaysPaid time off (PTO) for vacation/sick beginning at 6% and up to 12% of hours worked - percentage dependent upon experience level and time with the companyWe offer a fun, fast-paced environment full of rewarding projects and learning/professional advancement opportunities.
