National Sales Account Manager - Target Specialist Employment Type: Full-Time Location: New York, NY (Hybrid: 2 days in office, 3 days remote) Reports to: Chief Sales Officer Position Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced National Sales Account Manager with a strong focus on the Target retail channel to spearhead our growth within this high-impact partnership. This role demands a dynamic sales leader who possesses deep knowledge of Target's retail environment and strategic account management to optimize brand positioning, drive category expansion, and deliver outstanding sales results. Key Responsibilities: • Take full ownership of the companies business relationship with Target, including sales growth, promotional strategies, inventory management, and margin enhancement. • Leverage your extensive Target experience to develop tailored account plans aligned with retailer goals and consumer trends within the beauty sector. • Enable seamless collaboration between internal teams-sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance-and Target stakeholders to maximize brand visibility and shopper engagement. • Lead forecasting, sell-in/sell-through analysis, and business reviews specifically customized for Target's reporting systems and cadence. • Drive innovation in merchandising and in-store execution initiatives to meet and exceed KPIs while maintaining excellent retail compliance. • Negotiate promotional plans and new product launches ensuring alignment with both Target's calendar and the companies growth objectives. • Proactively identify risks, manage inventory health, and resolve supply chain challenges uniquely impacting Target's business. Requirements & Qualifications: • Minimum 5 years of direct national account management experience working with Target Corporation, demonstrating a strong track record of driving sales and strategic initiatives. • Minimum 3 years of experience working within the beauty space. • Proven ability to cultivate and maintain high-level, multi-stakeholder relationships within Target's organization (e.g., buying, category management, merchandising, marketing). • Excellent analytical skills with experience handling large data sets to interpret sales trends and forecast performance. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and forecasting/planning software tools. • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and project leadership skills. • A passion for the beauty industry with the ability to translate consumer insights into actionable retail strategies. • Ability to travel as needed to Target headquarters and regional offices. • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
