Bookkeeper PositionWe are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this contract to permanent position, you will play a crucial role in managing financial records, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with standard accounting practices. This role offers an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in bookkeeping and QuickBooks while contributing to the organization's financial health.Responsibilities:Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly coded and recorded.Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments.Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies to ensure financial accuracy.Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.Manage general ledger accounts and ensure journal entries are posted correctly.Conduct financial reconciliations and ensure all accounts are balanced.Organize and maintain financial records, including filing and record-keeping.Assist with preparing detailed financial reports and audits as needed.Requirements:A minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experience with a strong focus on accuracy and detail.Proficiency in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial reconciliations.Strong understanding of general ledger management and journal entries.Experience with month-end and year-end closings.Familiarity with coding invoices and maintaining accurate financial records.Knowledge of bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.Ability to assist with procurement processes and maintain organized financial documentation.Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
