Title: Electrical SupervisorLocation: Charlotte, NC 28273Hours: Mon-Fri 7:00am - 3:30pmPay Rate: $100,000.00Job Summary:The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for leading, organizing, and supervising lead hands and shop floor employees while ensuring production follows schedule, quality, and safety standards. This role requires effective communication between shifts, daily progress reporting, and proactive problem-solving to prevent delays. Additionally, the Electrical Supervisor works closely with the Drawing Release team to ensure accuracy in electrical schematics and assists with maintaining an organized and safe shop environment.Key Responsibilities:Monitor and report missing materials to managers at least one day in advance.Lead, organize, and supervise lead hands to ensure smooth operations.Provide instructions for the next shift and submit a detailed shift report to the next supervisor.Ensure the shop floor follows the production schedule and report any schedule slippage to the manager, including reasons for delays.Verify that the latest electrical schematics and drawings are being used and ensure shop floor employees adhere to the latest updates in coordination with the Drawing Release team.Ensure production follows AVL QA and AVL customer quality standards.Assist in maintaining a clean and organized shop floor by identifying areas needing improvement.Oversee shop floor attendance and manage daily attendance reports.Report daily progress updates to managers.Interview and recommend personnel actions, including hiring, termination, and promotions, while identifying employee talents.Provide technical expertise on the floor and assist with troubleshooting electrical production issues.Seek clarification from supervisors or production engineers when uncertain instead of making assumptions.Promote and maintain a safe work environment in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.Qualifications & Experience:Inspiring Leadership – Motivates and guides team members toward shared goals while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.Delegation & Accountability – Assigns tasks based on team strengths, ensuring efficiency and responsibility.Team Building – Strengthens team cohesion through collaboration, trust, and engagement strategies.Effective Communication – Clearly conveys information, expectations, and feedback to ensure alignment and understanding.Conflict Resolution & Mediation – Identifies and resolves conflicts professionally, fostering a productive and respectful workplace.Time Management & Prioritization – Efficiently balances tasks and deadlines to maximize productivity.Performance Evaluation & Feedback – Establishes clear expectations, tracks progress, and provides constructive feedback.Decision-Making & Problem-Solving – Analyzes data, evaluates risks, and makes informed decisions to drive operational success.Coaching, Mentorship & Training – Supports employees’ professional growth through structured training and ongoing mentorship.Employee Engagement & Motivation – Creates an environment where employees feel valued, recognized, and driven to perform their best.Change Management & Adaptability – Leads teams through organizational changes while maintaining morale and efficiency.Organizational & Process Optimization – Implements structured workflows and process improvements to enhance productivity.Additional Requirements:Demonstrate knowledge and an understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.Understand how this position impacts the quality of products and services our customers provide.Produce quality work (on-spec., on time, on a budget).Participate pro-actively in the continuous improvement process.Be self-motivated with a positive attitude and the ability to multi-task.Work well within a team environment.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.Maintain a professional, clean and safe work area.
