Your work ensures that loan applications are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with credit union and investor guidelines. You'll build strong member relationships, offer tailored financial solutions, and drive growth through your deep understanding of mortgage lending products and regulations.What You'll DoMortgage Loan Origination & Member EngagementDevelop and maintain strong relationships with members, real estate professionals, and other industry contacts to generate loan opportunitiesInterview prospective borrowers to gather necessary information and input it into the loan origination systemProvide required disclosures and ensure timely and complete loan application submissionsRecommend suitable mortgage options based on members' needs and investor guidelinesGuide borrowers through the application process, from submission to closing, ensuring a smooth and professional experienceExplain credit decisions and loan terms clearly and professionallyCross-sell appropriate credit union products and servicesStay current with industry regulations, trends, and mortgage productsLoan Application & Processing SupportCollect and review all required financial documentationWork with processors and underwriters to obtain missing informationEnsure all investor, regulatory, and internal guidelines are met throughout the processMaintain open communication with borrowers and internal teams to ensure timely completion of applicationsPerformance & GrowthMeet or exceed monthly loan production and sales goalsMaintain a high level of accuracy, compliance, and service throughout the loan processPromote a strong member experience while adhering to operational standardsQualificationsWho You AreExperience & Education2-3 years of mortgage lending or related experience required1-2 years of experience with secondary market lending preferredPrevious sales experience requiredHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredNMLS licensure preferredSkills & StrengthsKnowledge of conventional, government, and portfolio mortgage productsUnderstanding of federal and state mortgage regulationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail and time managementAbility to work independently and under strict deadlinesProficient in explaining technical and financial information to a broad audienceAnalytical and organized problem-solverProficient in writing reports, correspondence, and documentationKey TraitsProfessional and service-orientedAccountable and self-motivatedAdaptable and goal-drivenCommitted to member success and organizational goalsCollaborative with a strong team mindsetWhat's in It for You?Competitive salary and industry-leading benefits. Reasonable accommodations will be provided as needed to support an inclusive workplace.Hybrid Work ArrangementThis position allows for an optional hybrid work arrangement which includes a combination of both in-office and remote work arrangements. (Maximum of two days remote, three days in-office). To be eligible for the program, employees must complete a minimum of 90 days of continuous, regular employment, be in good standing, and submit a formal hybrid work application prior to being eligible for hybrid work, pending supervisor approval. Work schedules will be established by the employee's supervisor according to business needs. Working locations and schedules may be altered at management discretion.
