BWXT is currently seeking a Director, Financial Transformation for its Lynchburg, VA location

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and improves financial processes such as evaluation of Estimate at Complete, forecast development, internal reporting, project analysis, rate development, cash forecasting, and risk and opportunity identification and tracking, among others.
  • Designs, develops, and implements financial systems and their modifications and enhancements.
  • Assesses capital projects for priority among multiple sites, return on investment, and business case.
  • Evaluates assumptions and guides the work of site finance leads and other analysts.
  • Engages with site teams including General Managers, Project Managers, Finance, and other support groups to ensure alignment and open communications.
  • Ensures compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
  • A minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience.
  • Experience applying industry best practices related to forecasting and project analysis.
  • Ability to interpret and apply company guidelines, SOX, GAAP, and government regulations.
  • Must be highly initiative-taking and directed, with keen attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Must be able to demonstrate superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A CPA or MBA is preferred.
  • Experience with SAP, Onestream, Power BI, and advanced Excel are a plus.

Pay: $132,000 - $192,000

The base salary range for this position in VA at the start of employment is expected to be between $132,000 and $192,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
