Reporting to the Senior Manager of Risk Management and working closely with the Senior Analyst, this position contributes to a wide range of activities including claims management (Aircraft, Premises, Auto, and Property), contract review, insurance renewals, data analysis, and compliance monitoring. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and curious professional to grow within a dynamic team and gain exposure to multiple facets of risk management within the airline industry.Essential Responsibilities:Assist in managing and tracking claims across various categories, ensuring timely reporting and documentationSupport the review of contracts and provide initial comments related to insurance and risk provisionsCoordinate with internal departments and external partners, insurance brokers to issue certificates of insuranceHelp prepare renewal applications and submissions for insurance policiesAnalyze loss data to identify trends and support reporting effortsMaintain and update the Risk Management tracking system and other internal toolsConduct compliance audits related to motor vehicle records and workers' compensation requirementsParticipate in site visits and assist with risk assessments as neededSupport the management of Workers' Compensation surveys and related data analysisStay informed on insurance market developments and best practices in risk managementServe as a backup member of JetBlue's "Go Team" and assist with emergency response coordinationComplete ad hoc projects and contribute to team initiatives or other duties as assignedMinimum Education Required: High School/GEDJob Category: OperationsAdditional Qualifications/Responsibilities:Minimum Experience and Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experienceOne (1) year of analytical or related experienceAbility to effectively interface with people within organizationExcellent computer skills using Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word and SharePointExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to identify potential legal issues and escalate when necessaryAbility to interact effectively with insurance company personnel, brokers and third party administratorsAbility to handle confidential information with professionalism and diplomacyAbility to multi-task and prioritize effectivelyStrong attention to detailAvailable for occasional overnight travel (5%)Must pass a pre-employment drug testMust be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is locatedAuthorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorshipPreferred Experience and Qualifications:One (1) years of experience working in the insurance marketplace with a working knowledge of the standard lines of Commercial insurance coverages as well as Workers CompensationWorking knowledge of JetBlue and/or airline acumenExperience with the settlement of workers' compensation, property and liability claimsFamiliarity with safety programs and other risk mitigation techniquesCrewmember Expectations:Regular attendance and punctualityPotential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-noticeAble to maintain a professional appearanceWhen working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraftMust be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and FunPromote JetBlue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standardsIdentify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position.Equipment: Computer and other office equipmentWork Environment: Traditional office environmentPhysical Effort: Generally not required, or up to 10 pounds occasionally, 0 pounds frequently (Sedentary)Compensation: The base pay range for this position is between $64,350.00 and $89,600.00 per year.
