Bus Driver / HandymanThe Goddard School of Shadow Creek Ranch (Pearland), TX, is currently seeking a qualified CDL Bus Driver / Handyman to help maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for our students and staff. Join our talented team, where we inspire children to be lifelong learners Our Bus Driver / Handyman plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and smooth daily operations of our school by maintaining our facility and transporting our children safely to and from school.ResponsibilitiesBus Driver Duties:Safely transport children to and from their designated public/private schools and The Goddard School.Ensure all children are properly secured and accounted for during transportation.Maintain cleanliness, safety, and readiness of school buses (fueling, cleaning, basic maintenance).Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly.Handyman Duties:Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs throughout the facility (painting, plumbing, lighting, minor carpentry, etc.).Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment inside and outside the school building.Assist with general upkeep, including playground maintenance and equipment inspections.Respond promptly to maintenance requests to ensure the facility remains in top condition.Coordinate with management for larger repairs and vendor services when needed.RequirementsWe are looking for candidates who are as passionate about providing a safe and caring environment for children as we areValid CDL requiredExperience in facility maintenance, repairs, or general handyman workClean driving record and ability to meet all state and company transportation requirementsStrong attention to detail and commitment to safetyAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficientlyFlexibility with work schedule and willingness to assist in various areas of the schoolCompensation: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
