The IT Systems Analyst will collaborate with business lines and stakeholders to lead technology implementation and evaluation efforts, focusing on identifying, evaluating, and scoring products based on desired features, business requirements, and ease of use. The Analyst will utilize Continual Service Improvement and Life Cycle Management methodologies to assess technologies for improvement. Responsibilities also include configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting desktop and business systems solutions, as well as providing end-user support for operations and support teams, including root cause and preventative analysis.


Location:

This position will be based in Bakersfield, California, or Houston, TX.


Overall Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects and tasks such as upgrades, migrations, maintenance R&D, and proof of concepts for new technology with minimal supervision.
  • Assist in evaluating business problems, recommending vendor packages, and implementing required software.
  • Improve existing IT processes to enhance the end-user experience.
  • Provide immediate support while managing multiple projects and tasks.
  • Prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Contribute to standardizing and improving the global technology platform, interfacing with the global IT team.
  • Provide end-user support for both on-site and remote locations as needed.
  • Assist end-users with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware and software at a Tier II level, including Network Connectivity, MS Office, Windows Operating Systems, and Cloud storage.
  • Utilize and maintain the IT ticketing system to manage and document resolutions for all IT support tickets.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and software using standard business and administrative packages; may modify specific applications for operational departments.


Qualifications:

  • Completion of four years of college-level coursework in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Systems Analysis or IT-related positions in a business environment.
  • 2 years of professional experience in general computer software support, installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Highly proficient in Windows 10.
  • Experience working with Mac OSX.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively.
  • Prior experience supporting cloud-based SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS technologies (e.g., Box, Okta, Salesforce).
  • Experience with LDAP, Microsoft Active Directory, and GPO.
  • Experience with VM environments or equivalent is a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
  • Experience with scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell, VBScript, WMI or equivalent).
  • Experience with databases such as SQL and Oracle.
  • Experience with BI tools and reporting software (PowerBi, Tableau, Grafana, Google Analytics) is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem research skills.
  • Experience in software deployment and automation.
  • Fluent in English; fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Reporting Structure:

This position reports hierarchically to the Regional IT Manager.

Travel Requirements:

Up to 30%
