Pay Rate/Salary: $25-$33 with a $2 Night Differential

Location: Warrens, Wi

Schedule: 6 PM - 6 AM 2/2/3. On Mon-Tue/off Wed-Thu/ on Fri, Sat, Sun/ then reverses

Job Description:

Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in food processing facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform general and preventive maintenance work including mechanical, 1 & 3 phase electrical, hydraulics, pneumatic's, plumbing, and fabrication
  • Ensures safe operations through adherence to Environmental, Health, and Safety programs and procedures
  • Strict adherence to housekeeping, clean work areas upon completing a project and plant GMPs
  • Provide maintenance support to all stations effectively and efficiently
  • Ensures operation of plant equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements
  • Perform predictive maintenance on mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments
  • Remove defective parts by dismantling equipment; using hand and power tools, and cranes and hoists when necessary
  • Function as an engaged team member and contribute to the site's continuous improvement efforts
  • Able to effectively and safely operate standard maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools, and basic electrical test meters
  • Perform pneumatic, hydraulic system troubleshooting, and repairs
  • Effectively pass-down to next shift personnel, unfinished repairs and unresolved maintenance/production issues
  • Communicate with the production supervisor and plant manager on product runs, equipment problems, packaging issues, and potential down time
  • Maintain positive working relationships with supervisor and co-workers
  • The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall maintenance and repairs of production equipment, and facilities
  • Keeps the immediate supervisor informed of relevant activities on shift and takes or recommends corrective action when required
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and relates in a positive manner when interacting with all personnel
  • Keep detailed and accurate equipment records
  • Maintain awareness of customer and regulatory demands and focus
  • Responsible to adhere to quality system requirements
  • Maintain all equipment in the facility to manufacturer's specification
  • Follows through on the plant's preventative maintenance program
  • Repairs down or damaged equipment
  • Performs testing and diagnostic duties as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Follow the plant safety rules, report incidents & unsafe conditions immediately 4

Qualifications:

  1. Must have the ability to read electrical prints.
  2. Excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
  3. Understand and follow written and oral instructions in the English language.
  4. Ability to work with little to no supervision.
  5. Must have proven working knowledge of electrical/mechanical skills and have operational knowledge of basic tools and equipment.
  6. Prefer prior experience or education related to mechanical systems, instrumentation, and industrial automation.
  7. Mechanical aptitude including:
  8. Ability to perform typical maintenance activities related to troubleshooting and repair of equipment
  9. Electricity, able to perform basic trouble shooting using test instrumentation
  10. Operate, maintain and perform chemical testing of the boilers, refrigeration, and wastewater systems
  11. Ability to identify problems and recommend or follow through on appropriate solutions
