Electrical Technician

Responsibilities

  • Manage the project Work with the general contractor to plan and install the low voltage system including CCTV, Access Control, AV system, structured cabling, IT asset moving, and server room.
  • Coordinate with the General contractor, Architect, MEP vendor for the design and construction.
  • Manage the subcontractors for the low voltage installation.
  • Provide the initial client contact to assess scope of work, schedule, and resources necessary to successfully complete a project.
  • Prepare a complete estimate for selected project with a detailed review of plans, specifications.
  • Plan and organize a project under the directions of a construction project manager.
  • Supervise all purchasing and delivery of project materials of the scope.
  • Supervise the preparation of all change orders on the project.
  • Monitor construction activities in conjunction with the subcontractors to ensure project is being built on schedule, and within budget.
  • Investigate any potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures within company guidelines, and under supervision.
  • Provide all relevant documentation on the entire project cycle. Provide progress information and reports at regular intervals to meet internal and external reporting deadlines.
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect the company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the client.
  • Represent the company (NEXIEN) in the project meetings.
  • This is not a complete listing and other duties may be assigned based on the position’s role within the business unit.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3- 5+ years of experience in the low voltage project
  • 2+ years of experience as a project manager
  • Bi-lingual capability is required
  • Willing to travel for the projects
