Tax Accountant

FOR OUR CLIENT: THEY are a nationwide tax and prestige wealth management financial services company looking for a Full-Time experienced Tax Accountant for our Aventura, FL office. The Tax Accountant is expected to perform a wide range of duties for this tax office focusing on small business and individual tax clients. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE AS A TAX ACCOUNTANT IN A PUBLIC ACCOUNTING PRACTICE

Responsibilities:

• Organize and maintain corporate financial records for several companies
• Tax accounting for individual clients and businesses
• Prepare Individual, trust and estate tax returns
• Prepare Corporate and Partnership tax returns based on financial statements from accounting software
• Make adjustments to books based on tax return
• Record journal entries for depreciation and new purchases of real and tangible property
• Prepare of Tax based Financial Statements
• Answer inquiries and research on tax questions

Minimum Qualifications PREFERRED:

• Minimum seven years’ experience preparing taxes and providing accounting, payroll and bookkeeping services
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience; EA or CPA Required
• Experience with Accounting CS, Ultra Tax CS and Fixed Assets CS
• Experience working directly with clients and ability to clearly explain accounting and tax matters to clients
• Knowledge of sales and payroll tax laws, payroll practices and applicable regulations
• Professional, courteous and concise communication skills; active listener
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and make rules-based, analytical decisions
• Highly organized and proactive thinker able to meet deadlines inherent in the tax and accounting profession.
