This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization's growth and success, and we are looking for a visionary leader who is ready to take on this challenge.Key Responsibilities Include:Review and understand complex data center construction projects.Strategic planning: Develop and implement long-term standards and strategies.Team leadership: Lead and mentor a team of project managers, engineers, and construction professionals.Project oversight: Lead and manage the construction oversight efforts of data centers.Schedule management: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules.Risk evaluation: Analyze projects independently to evaluate the risk profiles.Tenant fit out integration: Work closely throughout design, construction, and commissioning.Quality assurance: Implement and oversee quality control processes.Design coordination: Collaborate with design teams to ensure that construction activities align.Stakeholder communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and colocation providers.Risk management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.Compliance: Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant regulations.Provide ongoing colocation provider evaluation input for continuous improvement.Regular project visits to ensure schedule, coordination, and quality.Innovation and improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.Attend meetings held in various time zones to support live engagement and support of international projects.Required Skills Include:Heavy knowledge of base building data center construction.Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Strategic planning: Strong skills in developing and implementing long-term strategies.Technical knowledge: Deep understanding of data center design, construction, and operational requirements.Project management: Expertise in managing large-scale data center construction projects.Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire a diverse team of professionals.Budget management: Proficiency in creating and managing project budgets.Risk management: Ability to identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.Vendor management: Experience in selecting, negotiating, and managing contracts with vendors and contractors.Regulatory compliance: Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 12 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on data center or colocation infrastructure either for a general contractor, colocation provider, or hyperscaler. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects. Strong understanding of construction processes, quality control, and design coordination. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
