This dynamic role combines product expertise, logistics coordination, and mission-driven work to support The Salvation Army's community programs and rehabilitation services.Classification: Full Time HourlyPay Rate: $21/HourLocation: Chicago, ILKey ResponsibilitiesOversee the production and selection of all goods for eCommerce sales from multiple store locationsCoordinate eCommerce selection strategies with store managers and personnel across the regionTravel to stores to identify, pull, and pack high-value products for eCommerce shipment with speed and accuracyResearch and evaluate quality and value of premium donated items using PC and mobile technologyManifest eCommerce merchandise while maintaining strict quality control and accuracy standardsCollaborate closely with Regional Manager to develop innovative strategies that increase eCommerce salesAttend monthly management meetings and communicate new policies to team membersOversee preparation and packing of selected materials for warehouse transportation and shippingParticipate in eCommerce meetings, training sessions, and conferences as requiredSupport The Salvation Army's mission and Adult Rehabilitation Center programsWhat You'll Need to SucceedRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentExperience in retail sales preferredStrong communication skills for effective collaboration with managers and staffAbility to read and interpret procedures, safety rules, and technical documentsProficiency with PC operations and Office 365 programs (Word and Excel)Strong mathematical skills including calculations of rates, ratios, and percentagesAbility to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environmentAbility to pass a Motor Vehicle Record search in order to drive Salvation Army vehiclesProfessional demeanor and commitment to team collaborationPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and move throughout store and warehouse environments regularlyCapability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 100 pounds occasionallyManual dexterity for handling merchandise and operating technologyClose and distance vision abilities with focus adjustment capabilityComfort working in varied environments including stores and warehouses with temperature fluctuationsTraining and DevelopmentComprehensive training on eCommerce systems and product evaluation techniquesOngoing professional development opportunities in retail operations and logisticsRegular strategy sessions with Regional Management teamAccess to eCommerce industry conferences and training programsWorking EnvironmentWork is performed across multiple store and warehouse locations with quiet to moderate noise levels.
