With its headquarters in Providence, RI, the firm also has offices in New York, London, Boston, and Atlanta.Position OverviewAs a member of the Valuation & Strategic Analysis team, one of your primary responsibilities will be to assist with the quarterly valuation of Providence Equity's portfolio companies. You will also work with other teams, including finance, investment, and investor relations, to assist with various financial analyses and fundraising initiatives. Sample projects include investor requests, portfolio risk-management as well as fund performance and forecasting analyses.ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Associate, Valuation & Strategic Analysis will be responsible for the following:Assisting with valuation analysis on a wide range of portfolio companies within Providence's core sectors of media, communications, education and technologyPreparing materials for financial reporting and fundraising purposesSupporting new fund launches and responding to investor due diligence requestsCreating ad hoc reports for various departments throughout the firm including senior leadershipQualificationsThe successful candidate will have an exceptional track record and reputation. Given the significant responsibilities of this position, the top candidate will be a mature, experienced individual. In addition, the successful candidate should have:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA or CFA ideal but not required for role2 3 years' experienceStrong analytical, comprehension, and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skillsHigh degree of professional maturity; ability to work independently and interact with all levels of the businessAbility to master new tasks quicklyAbility to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environmentDemonstrated commitment to outstanding resultsStrong Excel SkillsProvidence Equity Partners L.L.C.
