Director of Rooms

Director Of RoomsAs our Director of Rooms, you will be accountable for overseeing the organization, staff, and quality of the operations in Guest Services, Housekeeping, and Laundry while providing all guests with quality service and maximizing room revenue.This position may require flexible scheduling availability.Job Requirements:Provide basic housekeeping duties including changing the sheets, changing and arranging the towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning, and rearranging the room after guests check outConducting daily room inspections to ensure all rooms are cared for according to brand and Island Hospitality Management's standardsNotify supervisors of any damages, deficits, and/or disturbancesEnsure that departments achieve or exceed guest's service expectationsControl all purchases for the department, consistently aware of quality and costPrepare team member schedules in accordance with budgets and business forecastsManage human resources functions including recruiting, onboarding, performance evaluations, training, and disciplinary actionsJob Qualifications:Knowledge of budget preparation, payroll, and cost spending controlsHighly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievementMust be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessaryAbility to work well in stressful situationsReadily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest serviceThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
