About The RoleJoin our team in "Doing the Most Good" as a Store Processing Supervisor. In this key operational role, you'll oversee the production process and personnel with a focus on meeting established production and sales goals. You'll ensure quality control, maintain efficient workflows, and contribute to creating an excellent shopping experience for our customers.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Team LeadershipDirect and ensure completion of daily tasks for production team members, including workspace maintenanceTrain new team members on production expectations and processesPerform quality control inspections to ensure only the best products reach the sales floorTrack and report production metrics at scheduled intervalsImplement strategies to meet product acquisition, production, and sales goalsManage product rotation and inventory control processesOperations & Quality ControlMaintain organized workspaces and prepare for next-day productionSupport store maintenance and safety protocolsPlace and coordinate supply orders for processing needsImplement product control procedures to prevent shrinkageMonitor and control property, utility, and supply usageCustomer & Team RelationsSeek ways to improve donor and shopper experiencesSupport management in fostering positive understanding of policies and proceduresCommunicate effectively with store management regarding operationsDirect complaints and concerns appropriately to managementQualificationsRequiredHigh School Diploma or currently pursuingExperience following and giving directionStrong English communication skillsBasic computer proficiency including payroll systemsAbility to pass pre-employment drug test and background checkBasic math skillsPreferredRetail sales production and/or thrift store experiencePhysical RequirementsRegular standing, walking, and manual dexterityAbility to lift/move up to 50 pounds regularlyOccasional lifting up to 100 poundsCapability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch as neededClear vision (close and distance) with ability to adjust focusSchedule RequirementsFlexibility to work weekends and evening hoursAvailable for occasional travel to various locations for work or trainingWorking EnvironmentStore environment with quiet to moderate noise levelMay experience temperature fluctuations based on weatherSome exposure to dustExtended periods of standing possibleThe Salvation Army is an equal opportunity employer.
