C2C/1099 candidates will NOT be considered for this opportunity, W2 only. Short-term contract roughly 3-6 months. Job Description:Manual QA Testers will test code manually at the user level. Testers are not pure black box testers; they are more grey box, able to understand software internals, debug problems using log files. Work with Software Development Engineers to understand features and technical implementation. Candidates should also work with groups such as Product Management, User Experience Design, and Customer Support to understand customer usage models and develop test plans and suites that approximate real-world environments and regression tests and driving the software development process toward quality-centric methodologies.QUALIFICATIONS BS in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience1+ years of QA experience in manual testing1+ years in UAT TestingStrong track record of shipping high quality desktop and/or mobile client applicationsExperience with Black box, Gray box, and White box testingStrong debugging skillsStrong knowledge of QA methodology and tools, and good experience in Test/Defect ManagementAbility to understand technical specifications and analyze log filesShows creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectivenessStrong organizational skills, tracking multiple test executions simultaneously and able to synthesize the resultsComfortable communicating cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settingExperience working in an Agile Methodology a plusExperience working with Jira a plusExperience with Hardware or Electronic Device Testing a plus
