The Cleaner is responsible for keeping our wholesale parts warehouse in clean and orderly condition. This is accomplished by effectively and efficiently cleaning the warehouse spaces while using a variety of tools and cleaning supplies to ensure these spaces are kept neat, clean, and sanitary.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Cleaner is accountable for performing the duties and responsibilities described below. The list, however, is not necessarily an exhaustive description of the duties and responsibilities associated with the job.Dust surfaces including window frames, room dividers, picture frames, plants, exit signs, parts fixtures, etc.Wipe down and sanitize surfaces including tables (top & base), desks, chairs, doorknobs and handles, door frames, light switches, phones, keyboards, countertops, garbage cans, etc.Take extra care to thoroughly disinfect high touch surfaces (bathrooms and breakroom area)Clean glass including interior windows, mirrors, glass doors, etc.Clean and disinfect the bathrooms (toilet, faucet, sink, mirror, counter) and ensure supplies are well-stockedClean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuumingGather and empty the trashInventory cleaning supplies and notify the manager of supplies that are running lowIdentify potential safety or maintenance issues and communicate them to the managerInteract with staff and customers in a professional and courteous mannerPerform other duties and responsibilities as neededExpectationsFollow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and equipment to ensure effective cleaning, personal safety and to prevent damage Adhere to Company Policies and Procedures, including the dress code Perform duties as workload necessitates Maintain a positive and respectful attitude Communicate regularly with supervisor about department issues verbally and/or in written form Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload Consistently report to work on time prepared to perform duties of the position Strive for harmony and teamwork within the department and between other departments Communicate verbally and non-verbally clearly, concisely and with enthusiasm in all interactions Listen actively to understand others completely General housekeeping maintaining a clean and efficient work area free of debris and clutterRequired CompetenciesStrong attention to detail and task oriented Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload High motivation, work ethic, and enthusiasm Professional appearance and attitude Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills Some computer knowledge and/or experience Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the U.S. Must be able to pass a drug testPhysical DemandsMust be comfortable standing and walking for long periods of time Use hands and fingers to handle cleaning materials such as spray bottles, cleaning cloths, vacuums, etc. Stand, walk, sit Bend, stretch, twist, and reach with arms and legs Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch Lift and move up to 20 pounds Vision requirements include: closeness, distance, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to focus Use physical and manual dexterity Use computers and office equipment as part of their daily functions May be exposed to moderate noise (i.e., office machines, computer printers and light traffic)Work EnvironmentWill be exposed to contaminants (cleaning supplies) May be exposed to disease or infections and hazardous conditions May be exposed to moderate noise (i.e., office machines, computer printers and light traffic)Work SchedulePart time employees are regularly scheduled for anything less than 40 hours.
