JOB SUMMARY

FARE is seeking a dedicated Senior HR Generalist to join our team. The Senior HR Generalist will play a crucial role in supporting FARE’s mission by managing various HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, benefits and leave administration, payroll support, performance management, and more. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, excellent communication skills, and a passion for promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including annual open enrollment and wellness initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the recruitment and onboarding process for new employees, including job postings, screening resumes, setting up interviews, and facilitating orientation programs.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand skills and competencies required for job openings.
  • Assist with employee relations matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, and promoting a respectful and supportive work environment.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including employee development, career planning, and workplace accommodations.
  • Work closely with the Finance team to process semi-monthly payroll.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in accordance with federal and state regulations and best practices, ensuring consistency and fairness across the organization.
  • Support the development and facilitation of L&D programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Provide administrative support including documentation for promotions and terminations.
  • Manage employee data and HRIS systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of personnel records.
  • Ensure and maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Thorough understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulations, with the ability to apply them effectively in a non-profit setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining great attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond effectively to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Passion for FARE’s mission to improve the lives of individuals with food allergies.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and integrity.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in human resources management.
  • Experience with ADP preferred.
