Project Director - Water/WastewaterThe selected professional will serve as a client leader with Southern Florida clients with a keen focus on business development, establishing and furthering client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction on project delivery to our clients, and proactive client engagement. The professional will be externally focused supporting the Black & Veatch brand in the market and seen as a business leader in South Florida.As the Project Director, you will have the opportunity to:Manage all aspects of large Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC)/Service projects, including risk to cost, schedule, qualityBe responsible for the day-to-day successful execution of contracted engineering, procurement, and construction scope in the areas of performance, financial metrics, planning, schedule, quality, contractual compliance, safety, and client satisfaction.Provide for the successful staffing of the projectManage and lead large teams of multi-discipline professionalsCoordinate and integrate the activities associated with the engineering, procurement, construction, and startup elements of the project team, including the activities of all third party companies contributing to the initiativeThis is a position that will be based out of our Southern Florida offices (Coral Gables, Coral Springs, or West Palm Beach) but Coral Gables is preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesManages large engineering projects involving multiple clients or partners or medium EPC projects.Manages multiple clients and/or projects where the project team, client structure and/or project location present greater challenges.Obtains new/repeat business on large size projects; supports contract negotiations with clients.Manages multiple risks which includes fixed price or new technology or non-domestic markets or new clients.Preferred QualificationsTypically 12 years experience.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceAll applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
