We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst, who will play a crucial role in supporting the operational and reporting functions of the company. This position requires strong analytical, planning and process implementation skills, as well as the ability to provide valuable insights to drive strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will be responsible for scoping, implementing and maintaining our business software and plant floor systems, designing processes, and optimizing information technology tools and services. The role will require a combination of technical skills and the ability to understand the business’ processes. The Business Systems Analyst will report directly to the Controller. This position is based in our Arlington, VA. or Raleigh, NC office and if needed, relocation support is available.


In this position, you will…

  • Assess renewable natural gas and waste treatment facility operational needs and facilitate design of precision-oriented software systems and processes to optimize facility performance for our customers, partners and stakeholders.
  • Evaluate options and present analytic-based recommendations to the leadership team.
  • Lead the implementation processes for new systems including requirements gathering, testing and deployment.
  • Develop turnkey approach to deployment of systems and processes to new facilities as they are onboarded into the company’s portfolio.
  • Participate in design and management of operational data tools including tracking of material volumes, quality management and predictive modeling.
  • Work with Controller to automate processes and implement continuous, disciplined improvements to accounting operations and reporting functions.
  • Assist IT stakeholders in evaluating and selecting software options, service providers and consultants.

In this position, we will need you to have….

  • Strong knowledge of system architectures, data modeling, and the landscape of software solutions in the ERP, CRM, and CMMS space; experience with Notion, HubSpot, Sage, and Fix a plus
  • Strong presentation skills; ability to translate process solutions into executive-level decks with project-specific cost-benefit analysis
  • Visionary skills with creative problem-solving abilities
  • 5+ years prior experience in gathering and documenting system and business requirements, a proven track record in successful implementations and exposure to the full software lifecycle
  • Experience in manufacturing systems within the energy sector preferred, exposure to renewable energy / energy transition a plus
  • BA/BS required, with a preference for coursework in IT, engineering or related field
  • Project management, data analytics or IT-related certifications a plus
