Ensure the proper disposal of radioactive materials in accordance with safety protocols. Imaging and Diagnostic Procedures: Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment, such as gamma cameras, positron emission tomography (PET) scanners, and single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) scanners. Perform diagnostic imaging tests to capture detailed images of organs, tissues, and bones for the detection of diseases, such as cancer, cardiovascular issues, and neurological disorders. Assist physicians and radiologists by providing preliminary image analysis, noting any abnormalities or relevant findings. Maintain accurate patient records, including patient history, test results, and imaging reports, in compliance with hospital or facility protocols. Equipment Maintenance and Safety: Perform routine maintenance and calibration of nuclear medicine imaging equipment, ensuring proper function and safety. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to imaging equipment or radiopharmaceuticals. Ensure that all equipment and facilities meet safety standards, particularly in handling radioactive materials, to minimize risk to both patients and staff.
