Shift: M-F 8AM-5PM.
Contract: 16 weeks
SUMMARY:-
All employees are expected to perform their duties as set forth here and in accordance with all policies, procedures, and Mission, Values, and Vision of Catalina Island Medical Center CIClient. The person doing this job is responsible for a variety of tasks that lead to a high level of customer satisfaction with respect and dignity.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:-
- Plans, organizes, oversees, and personally conducts the delivery of patients care as directed by physicians and other higher level nursing staff. Including but not limited to, room and patient prep, specimen collection, medication administration, wound care, etc., within scope of practice.
- Acts as a team member with other professionals and Paraprofessionals in the delivery of patient care services.
- Assists in the preparation of monthly work schedules as needed.
- Assists with the patient care plan; maintains medical and surgical equipment in sanitary condition and in good operating condition.
- Oversees the compliance with infection control and safety regulations of the MGO.
- Acts as liaison between MGO and other units.
- Assists in the training and orientation of new staff.
- Assists other professional staff on the care of patients and the provision of nursing services, central services supply, in-service education, quality assurance, infection control, fire, safety, disaster, or utilization review coordinator.
- Back office duties including but not limited to, schedule patient appointments and follow-ups as needed, respond to patient calls, relay messages to providers, managing clinical inboxes, review patient documentation, stocking of the unit as needed.
- Perform additional nursing-related tasks and assist with other duties as assigned, in accordance with facility policies and the LVN scope of practice.
- Be compliant with organizational policies and procedures and related departmental procedures.
- Follow all HIPAA regulations as outlined in the HIPAA Policy and Procedure Manual.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Excellent customer service skills for both inter and intra department.
- Other duties as assigned by the physicians and Supervisor.

- Active CA License.
- BLS/CPR.
