Sr. Project ManagerDynalectric Arizona offers multidisciplinary electrical solutions under one roof, helping to plan, construct, install, and integrate advanced electrical, controls, and telecommunications systems. We are looking for talented, motivated electrical and construction professionals to join our team.The Sr. Project Manager (SPM) directs all aspects of a project including financial oversight, design and scheduling, staff management and mentoring, contractor and vendor coordination, and general supervision. The PM is responsible for the final outcome of a project and must be in tune with every phase to track progress and anticipate any necessary changes.Essential duties and responsibilities include:Identify required resources to achieve project goalsDefine project responsibilities for management, engineering and field staffPrepare and supervise the preparation of Job Start and Project Closeout materialsGenerate documentation for preliminary assessments, technical solutions, fee proposals, presentations, studies, and general supportPrepare and supervise the preparation of Logs and Reports including submittals, operation & maintenance manuals, expediting reports, change order log, RFI log, correspondence log, etc.Transition project management and engineer activities from design to construction phase and construction to completion phaseEffectively communicate with all relevant outside parties, including the General Contractor, Architect, Engineer, Owner, and other stakeholdersSupport and provide input to development strategies, goals, and objectives specific to project execution at each project phaseAssist the business development team by responding to requests for proposal and bid processDevelop and manage project plans, schedules and scopes of workDevelop and implement a comprehensive construction planMonitor project progress to anticipate potential problemsAssess site safety by implementing actions to prevent injury to property and personnel and ensuring safety compliance of subcontractors and all on-site personnelProject financial management duties include:Assume financial responsibility for project including accurate, timely and relevant reporting to stakeholdersDeliver accurate and timely data to support project forecastsMonitor, control and report the financial performance of the projectFacilitate invoice payments from clients and to subcontractorsReview and approve subcontractor billingsPrepare client and subcontractor change ordersDraft subcontracts and purchase agreementsMonitor and proof change issue log.Assess any potential job cost impacts. Submit, negotiate and track all change orders requests.Document and resolve subcontractor and vendor billing issuesReview resources including contracts, drawings, specifications and other documents to answer questions in a timely mannerOversee purchasing by ensuring all material and equipment is purchased in a timely and cost-effective mannerEvaluate bid estimates, develop cost codes, establish definitive budgets, develop manpower plan with Superintendents, and monitor field labor progressProject team management includes:Coach and mentor project team membersDevelop project staffing plans to include labor, subcontractors, etc.Exemplify Dynalectric culture; communicate and influence policies and procedures.Establish and lead associated meetingsRepresent Dynalectric at after hour industry functionsQualifications include:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent work experience required.At least 10 years of progressively responsible project management experiencePE, CPM, LEED professional designations is preferredComputer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office productsEstimating skills including knowledge of AccubidProficient with construction financial programs and software preferred.Demonstrate an understanding of accounting and financial management preferred.Thorough understanding of industryStrong written and verbal communication skillsGood math/accounting skillsStrong management skillsFunctions effectively as part of a teamAbility to develop and/or maintain relationships with clientsExhibit strong leadership qualitiesAbility to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all timesExcellent time management and organizational skillsExcellent decision making/problem solving skillsPhysical demands include:The Sr. Project Manager is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Work environment includes:Field office-based, in a temperature-controlled environment. Typical working hours are Monday Friday during normal business hours, but when deadlines approach they may be required to work much longer hours, including some weekend work. Some travel may be required.While performing the duties of this job, the Sr. PM may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration; may be exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites (weather, noise, etc.).Some projects cover a wide geographic area.
