Senior Quality Engineer


Position Overview: As a Senior Quality Engineer (QE) in the automotive manufacturing industry, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and upholding internal quality processes and standards on the production line. This position supports Netgroup's client, VolvoGroup, ensuring that all products meet the high-quality standards demanded by customers. You will be responsible for analyzing both internal and external performance data and investigating quality disruptions within our build teams. Collaborating closely with design, supply, and other cross-functional groups, you will work on systematic improvements to enhance our production system.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Quality Management: Implement containment and corrective actions, and follow up on quality issues, including facilitating responses to findings and managing quality case documentation.
  • Problem Solving: Lead effective problem-solving activities to investigate nonconformities, utilizing methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis and Kaizen.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a quality liaison with support groups and cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless communication and cooperation.
  • Performance Documentation: Maintain and communicate quality performance documentation, including charts and graphs, to the Business Unit.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze quality data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement process improvements through Kaizens, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of our production quality.
  • ISO System Support: Support the ISO Quality system as requested, ensuring compliance with established standards.


Critical Competencies:

  • Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical skills combined with sharp analytical abilities, essential for addressing quality issues and implementing solutions.
  • Problem-Solving Expertise: Experience in problem-solving methodologies, including Root Cause Analysis, 5W2H, Fishbone Analysis, and more.
  • Teamwork & Communication: Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate quality concepts effectively within production teams.
  • Continuous Learning: Passion for supporting team goals and learning new concepts, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Certification: CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) and/or Six Sigma Qualification is a plus, reflecting a strong foundation in quality engineering principles.


Minimum Education, Experience, and Skillset:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline is required.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of manufacturing experience is required, with a preference for automotive industry experience.
  • Problem-Solving: Proven experience with problem-solving methodologies, including Root Cause Analysis, Kaizen, and other quality tools.
