Position Overview:

A global leader in electronic security systems has been innovating in the field for over 40 years. Headquartered in Amityville Long Island NY we are looking to expand our Engineering team with a skilled Senior Embedded Software Engineer. This role will focus on developing software and firmware for ARMbased microprocessors used in highstakes security solutions including fire and burglary alarms access control and home automation systems.

Core Responsibilities
  • Design develop and optimise embedded software systems to meet project specifications and design requirements.
  • Collaborate with development and marketing teams to outline features specifications and performance targets creating efficient software architecture and firmware.
  • Develop and code firmware for cuttingedge security products using C.
  • Lead and mentor a team of embedded software engineers to deliver highquality software solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews and implement improvements iteratively ensuring robustness and strong performance.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in embedded software and adopt new technologies as appropriate.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation supporting software development processes.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • 8 years of experience in software development for microprocessorbased systems.
  • Proficient in C programming and ARM microprocessors.
  • Familiarity with development environments like IAR.
  • Background in creating communication protocols for wireless systems.
  • Experience with Wireless/RF Microcontrollers (e.g. TI1310) is advantageous.
  • Hardware design and/or security industry experience is a plus.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
