Our client is seeking a Part-Time Project Coordinator to assist with administrative and data quality tasks as part of an enterprise-wide Workday Financials implementation project.


At the direction of project management and various functional leaders, the Project Coordinator will support the project through the completion of administrative, coordination, and data entry tasks on behalf of both business and technical teams. The Project Coordinator is expected to be highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks with variable deadlines simultaneously.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Workday Financials Project Manager, Workday Financials Change Manager, Workday Project Owner, Finance leaders, and core implementation team members with project tasks (e.g., scheduling, resource coordination, file management and preparation, etc.)
  • Log tasks, defects, and otherwise operate in JIRA, the project’s software platform for management, to keep project information current
  • Complete data quality reviews at the direction of functional leads, including, but not limited to, data entry activities in the city’s legacy ERP, communicating with outside parties to gather current information for data conversion, and reviewing and updating datasets in Microsoft Excel
  • At the direction of Finance leaders, assist with administrative tasks related to non-project business to provide task relief for core implementation team members
  • Assist with communication preparation and distribution with key constituencies, both internal and external, in support of project activities


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience performing data entry tasks
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Highly motivated, curious, proactive, flexible, and results-oriented
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong business acumen


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in Finance, IT, Project Management, and/or a related business field
  • Experience operating in Workday
  • Experience operating in JIRA
  • Experience working directly as part of a large project management team
  • Experience working in a finance-related field (AP/AR, Accounting, etc.)


REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associate degree in a relevant discipline (Finance, Management, Business, IT, or a related field) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
