If more than one application is submitted then only the last application will be processed.Job DescriptionLead Electrician is responsible for the successful installation of solar electrical equipment for photovoltaic systems. The electrician will have knowledge of different solar electrical tie-ins, how to install equipment according to NEC code, and how to wire the AC portions of a system. The electrician will be responsible for reading and fully understanding design drawings.Lead Electrician Tasks, Duties, and ResponsibilitiesIdentify solutions to resolve technical design problems, including electrical systems used during constructionProvide training to wiring techniciansAll workmanship compliant with current NEC and local codesProvide on-site troubleshooting for solar systems and resolve electrical issuesPerform supply side interconnections, MSP upgrades, running conduit, load shifting, trenchingMeet with and develop relationships with inspectorsComplete other duties as assignedRequirementsLead Electrician Requirements, Skills and QualificationsJourneyman Electrical License / State Certified Electrician, preferred3+ years in the solar electric industry, preferredFormal apprenticeship and/or vocational trainingMust possess a current, valid Driver's licenseWorking knowledge of the NEC requiredBi-lingual (English/Spanish), preferredProficiency in MS OfficeVery strong organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written)Able to work an adjusting schedule and respond to emergenciesProjects a professional appearanceSolar industry experience preferredExperience reading, interpreting one-line drawings and electrical schematicsMust have reliable transportation to and from workProlonged periods of standing and being on feetLead Electrician Education, Qualifications and ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalentAbility to establish rapport, build relationships and loyalty with external and internal customers and coworkers, and remain tactful when communicatingAt least 4+ years of previous solar installation experience requiredLead Electrician Physical RequirementsProlonged periods of standing and being on feetShould not have lifting restrictions, be comfortable using hand tools, power tools, using ladders and working on roofsMust be able to work with heights; on rooftops and climbing laddersMust be able to lift 50lbs-75lbsMust be able to work alone and as part of leading a teamMust be able to lift and reach above your head, bend and twistMust be able to stand for more than three hours at a time without a breakBenefitsPaid Holidays401(k) matchingDental insuranceDisability insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insurance*** Benefits are subject to eligibility criteria***APPLY TODAY AT:Climate Solar Solutions is a rapidly growing solar installer in the state of California.
