Production Painter

Job Purpose


At Elite Metal Finishing, LLC., under the direction of the department Supervisor/Manager a Production Painter is responsible for coating surface parts using paints, varnish, enamels, lacquers, etc. using a spray gun.


Paint Processors support all Elite Metal Finishing’s quality initiatives, which include our Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, and Quality Management System.


Duties and Responsibilities


Primary duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:


  • Racking and flipping of parts being painted.
  • Sand and prepare parts for paint application.
  • Cleaning paint guns and prepping them for use.
  • Mixes paints, ink and coatings to proper spraying consistency
  • Apply paints / coatings to proper specification thickness.
  • Assist with all prep work and cleanup of parts within paint department.
  • Ensure proper handling of parts, paints, materials and supplies.
  • Completes necessary paperwork.
  • Follow all company quality and safety regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications


Qualifications include:


  • High School Diploma or equivalency accepted.
  • Must be able to effectively read, write and communicate in English.
  • Must be able to follow instructions.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must have ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.


Key Accountabilities


  • Ability to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate and work with others in a courteous and professional manner.


Physical Requirements

  • Physical Demand ADA-Compliant
  • Stand position; Must be able to remain in stationary positions.
  • Walk Move - The person in this position needs to constantly move about inside and out of the paint department to access parts and equipment, etc.
  • Use hands/fingers to handle or feel - operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, position parts, paint, and paint equipment.
  • Talk/hear Communicate - Converse - The person in this position frequently communicates with Production and QA personnel. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • See - detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, assess parts and paint.
  • Carry, lift, move, transport, position, install, remove, parts up to 30 pounds above and below waist level.
