More specifically, this position will assist with flow of patients from the waiting area to exam rooms and perform preparatory work on patients to ensure efficient use of the physicians time./ppDepartment: HVA GI Location: Clifton, Belleville Status: Full Time Shift: Days Hours: Variable/ppJob Essentials: The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements and competencies./pulliMedical office experience required/liliMust be fluent in Spanish and English/li/ulpResponsibilities/pulliGreet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes./liliSchedule appointments efficiently using medical scheduling software such as Athenahealth or Epic./liliMaintain accurate medical records and ensure confidentiality of patient information./liliAnswer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary./liliCollect patient information, including insurance details and care plans, ensuring all documentation is complete./liliAssist with clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence./liliCollaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and follow-up appointments./liliStay updated on medical terminology and office procedures to enhance patient interactions./li/ulpQualifications/pulliPrevious experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting is preferred./liliProficiency in medical scheduling software (experience with Athenahealth or Epic is a plus)./liliStrong understanding of medical terminology and health information management practices./liliExcellent organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively./liliExceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff./liliAbility to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality./liliA proactive attitude towards problem-solving and improving office efficiency./liliMust be fluent in Spanish and English/li/ulpEducation Requirements/pulliHigh School Graduate or equivalent or a minimum of 2 years full-time experience in a related field required./li/ulpEnglewood Health job postings provide a minimum rate to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidates relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation. In addition to the minimum rate, eligible employees may receive comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other wellness resources.
