RDTS is on the lookout for a Cleared System Security Engineer to support the U.S. Dept of Treasury in Washington, D.C. This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of Treasury's critical Information Technology systems. The primary purpose of the Security Engineer is to manage the Trellix/McAfee ePO system in use. This position requires you to be fully onsite in downtown DC, full-time, Monday to Friday, during standard office hours (8:00 am to 5:00 pm), contingent upon passing a federal background check. Key Responsibilities: Provide daily security oversight for all TFIN systems and network components; ensure effective configuration management and oversight of security components. Oversee network security and firewall settings, ensuring compliance with STIG implementations. Engage in system hardening, vulnerability resolution, and management of the antivirus architecture; troubleshoot server and client-related antivirus incidents, and perform upgrades as necessary. Conduct malware and virus analysis, creating indicators for use with IDS systems to preempt future threats, and assist in computer forensic operations. Offer operational and maintenance support to security tools such as Host Based Security System (HBSS), Tripwire, Nessus, Splunk, and others relevant to TFIN. Ensure HBSS set up adheres to requirements from the Intelligence Community Security Coordination Center (ICSCC), and provide necessary reports to Information System Security Officers (ISSOs). Develop and review test and exercise plans; support counterintelligence efforts to manage insider threats and other related human factor risks. Generate security impact assessments and recommendations for the Architect and TFIN Change Control Board (CCB). Assist with technical incident response exercises as required. Qualifications: Must hold an active Security Clearance. Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 3-5 years of experience in DoD or federal cybersecurity operations. Minimum 3 years of experience working in classified environments. Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST SP 800-53 controls. Preferred core technical knowledge certifications: Security+, CEH, Linux/Windows. Experience with McAfee ePO, Host IPS, and firewall policy tuning. Knowledge of DISA STIGs and compliance tools such as STIG Viewer. Strong proficiency with Tripwire, Nessus, Retina, and analyzing scan results. Familiarity with Splunk and its functionalities.
