Position: Tableau Developer

Duration: 6-month C2H

Start: ASAP

Location: Remote (if converted perm will need to be in a hybrid schedule)

Hours: 8 – 5PM EST; flex on core hours (will get general requests for release items or production support that is handled at nighttime sometimes)

Pay Rate: $48-54/hr.

Salary Conversion: 85k/ - 110k/yr. + 12.5% bonus

Work Authorization: USC or GC

Interviews: Will be expected to complete SQL code on the interview.

Must Haves:

  • Bach Degree
  • Advanced Tableau development skills required using Tableau Server Version 2023
  • Designing and Developing Dashboards using Tableau Desktop for various organizational metrics and indicators using best practices and industry standards
  • 5+ years of SQL Server experience required.
  • Cloud experience (Azure of GCP)
  • Health insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid experience
  • Experience when developing the dashboards to test SQL queries, test dashboard performance – Unit Testing

Plusses:

  • Proficiency with Tableau Prep and Tableau server are a plus.
  • Hadoop: 1 year
  • Python experience preferred.

Day to Day:

Insight Global is seeking a Tableau Developer for a large health insurance client of ours. They will be part of the Informatics team with Aetna, focusing on Medicare stars applications called stars central. It focuses in on Tableau visualization, creating the queries in the backend, fine tuning of dashboards, data quality and testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops, and maintains complex Tableau reports for scalability, manageability, extensibility, performance, and re-use.
  • Interacts directly with key high-level stakeholders, end-users, and colleagues to design and develop Dashboards in Tableau.
  • Works with other teams to create useful reports and dashboards that provide insight, improve/automate processes, or otherwise add value to team.
  • Strong experience of data extracts, data blending, publishing dashboards.
  • Apply advanced technical, analytical, and consultative skills utilizing an extensive knowledge of healthcare data, Tableau, and information systems to develop and deliver reporting components that satisfy business needs within defined SLAs.
  • Extensive knowledge of data visualization techniques and visual design concepts using Tableau
  • Design and develop user friendly dashboards using complex health care datasets from different Medicare data sources.
  • Creates high performance Tableau reports that address strategic and tactical business needs.
  • Implements best practices to ensure dashboard design consistency across all dashboards for best user experience.
  • Very good understanding of relational data structures and skilled in writing complex data analysis queries.
  • Provides technical expertise in areas of development, design, and implementation.
  • Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders through clear, understandable presentations.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity in dashboards and reports.
  • Resolves support tickets related to Tableau reports.


Compensation:

$48/hr to $54/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
