Financial Performance & Market Risk Analytics ProfessionalFreddie Mac's Finance Division is currently seeking a Financial Performance & Market Risk Analytics Professional to be part of the Investments and Capital Markets CFO Department The candidate will be responsible for reporting on the portfolio performance of the Capital Markets business through daily and monthly performance analytics. The position is focused on developing insightful analysis and reporting on the performance activity of Freddie Mac's Retained Portfolio.Our Impact:The Investments and Capital Markets CFO Department is responsible for financial accounting and reporting, portfolio risk and profitability analysis, pricing and valuation activities, and financial planning & analysis for Freddie Mac's Capital Markets activities.Our team helps ensure that senior management has an accurate view of Freddie Mac's comprehensive income through daily profitability reporting.We partner with business areas to understand needs, build and maintain reports on business analytics, and adjust deliverables accordingly.The team performs ad-hoc business analyses per request of management and independently develops new beneficial analytics to help drive improved business decision making.We conduct analyses to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of Freddie Mac's Hedge Accounting program.Your Impact:Interact with portfolio managers within the Investments and Capital Markets division on portfolio activities, market conditions, and results.Analyze market risks and their impact on Retained Portfolio profitability.Analyze the drivers of investment returns and their impact on business units across the firm.Build forecasts to project changes in investment returns.Prepare daily profitability reporting for senior management.Prepare presentations delivered to senior management and the Board of Directors.Seek opportunities for enhancing and improving our process and data infrastructure.Qualifications:Minimum of 2 years of experience in fixed income, financial services, and/or financial analysis.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related degree, preferred.Showcased experience as an individual who pays close attention to details, possessing strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.Strong independent problem-solving capabilities.Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel, and the aptitude to learn other software.Previous accounting experience and/or knowledge in GAAP.Experience working with and analyzing large complex datasets.Keys to Success in this Role:Ability to multi-task and lead challenging deadlines/priorities.Deep curiosity to learn about fixed income markets and desire to keep up to date on market conditions.Able to build strong relationships with business partners.Ability to utilize data to assist in advising strategy and direction.Freddie Mac offers a comprehensive total rewards package to include competitive compensation and market-leading benefit programs.
