DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Case Aide, you will have the opportunity to assist county caseworkers by handling scheduling, transporting, and escorting clients to appointments, visitations, and court hearings. You will often supervise visits that happen in the office between child and parents, documenting said visits. You will be responsible for assisting with basic clerical tasks, maintaining company vehicles, keeping caseworkers and supervisors informed when it pertains to the family, and maintaining the visitation room within the office. Work also includes:

  • Providing childcare at the agency, courthouse, and other locations
  • Providing hands-on instruction on household management skills
  • Participating in child safety car seat training
  • Delivering documents and various items to attorneys, agencies, and other individuals

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work may be required outside of set schedule, depending on agency needs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Graduation from high school; or
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Other Requirements:

  • This particular position also requires possession of a valid driver‘s license which is not under suspension.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • You must pass a background investigation.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
