Role Description

LDV seeks a full-time New Jersey attorney to handle all phases of litigation and to review documents, pleadings, motions and correspondence for accuracy and compliance with applicable statutes, rules and regulations. The associate must be detail oriented with effective time management and communication skills and possess the exemplary professional judgment necessary to independently evaluate cases throughout all stages of litigation, including intake, motions and trials. Attorney will be appearing in court on behalf of our high profile national clients and is expected to advocate effectively on their behalf, while treating adverse parties with dignity and respect.


This is an entry level role with training provided. Specifically candidate will learn under a partner and gain courtroom experience, including trials. Candidates with relevant legal experience may also be considered. The position offers opportunity to grow with our firm. Salary range accounts for experience and admissions to other states where the firm operates (MD, DE, OH, KY) at the higher end. All matters are contingent fee agreements with no expectation or requirement to bill hourly. Billable hours are not tracked.


Attorney may work fully remote/from home or in our Marlton office in a hybrid or full time capacity. Attorney will be expected to make in person court appearances throughout each county in New Jersey.


Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:


  • Active license in good standing to practice law in New Jersey
  • Interpersonal skills to succeed in mediation and courtroom settings
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Dependability, reliability, and the ability to work well with minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation for frequent court appearances
  • Priority will be given to applicants with additional admissions to the bars of MD, DE, OH and/or KY.
