The Northport VA Healthcare System is seeking an experienced, full-time Non-Invasive Cardiologist who is board-certified. Duties include overseeing all aspects of cardiac care delivered to referred patients and participating in daily ambulatory/outpatient Cardiology clinic services at our Northport VA Healthcare Systems VA Medical Center.

The Cardiologist will consult manage and provide education and counseling of Veterans in preventative care and apply evidence-based care for various cardiac conditions while supervising comprehensive outpatient cardiac procedures. Our facility can perform a wide variety of outpatient Cardiology services including EKG and Arrhythmia monitoring interpretation, echocardiograms, exercise and pharmacologic stress echocardiograms, Transesophageal echocardiograms, and cardioversions.

The Cardiologist will establish a professional relationship with clinical service providers within the outpatient center, provide telephone and curbside consultations, and screen consultative and procedural requests for appropriateness.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience working within the VA or with complex veteran patient populations a plus
  • U.S. Citizen
  • B/C in Cardiology
  • Holds a full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in ANY U.S. State

Additionally, the physician will work closely with our team of dedicated healthcare professionals to assure compliance with rational, regional, and local VA performance standards, and may serve on local committees as deemed necessary in support of the facility mission.

Hours: Monday – Friday 8a-4:30p
