·     Large inventory and rotables solutions

·     Aircraft disassembly and part-out

·     Aircraft storage and parking

·     Avionics, instrument, and accessory repair

Primary responsibilities

·     Responsible for inspecting, repairing and overhauling avionic equipment and other units that the Repair Station is rated for.

·     Applies knowledge of avionic principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment operation. 

·     Responsible for assisting with troubleshooting and repairs.

·     Troubleshoots and repairs avionic equipment and other units to the component level.

·     Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.

·     Assists and trains other technicians in repairing units.

·     Monitors condition of repair shop ground support equipment and advises management of

any needed upgrades or repairs.

 

Required Skills:

·     Associates Degree – Basic Electronics

·     Minimum of 10 years previous aircraft maintenance and electronic troubleshooting experience.

·     FCC license preferred, but not required.

·     A thorough knowledge of avionic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.

·     Military experience preferred

·     Must be able to work well in a team environment and communicate with co-workers


Education and Professional Qualifications:

·     Must be able to work with small tools and have good manual dexterity.

·     Must be able to troubleshoot problems to the component level and use problem solving skills in repairing units.

·     Working knowledge of aircraft ground support test equipment needed.

·     Must be able to work well both individually and with other co-workers.

·     Must be able to read and comprehend schematic diagrams and component maintenance manuals.
