Human Resources Manager

POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources Manager will report to the Director of Finance and HR and will be directly involved in future growth as the organization continues to expand in the coming years. S/he will be focused on building a strong network for employee recruitment and developing effective hiring strategies. The Human resources manager will spearhead employee initiatives and programs to drive job satisfaction and encourage employee retention. This role will provide counsel to the leadership team with employee relations and development while consistently serving as a champion of the Company’s core values.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review department tasks, identify any areas of improvement, develop scorecard, and assign roles to staff accordingly with a proper balance between payroll and HR generalist positions.
- Assess ADP Workforce Now setup and identify possible HR solutions to provide system process improvement recommendations for current system.
- Develop and implement internal controls for payroll processing.
- Evaluate current system software to determine if the implementation of a new software program is necessary.
- Review and update current compensation, employee handbook, paid time off, and labor law compliance and regulations for coverage gaps and improvements.
- Assess workers’ compensation policies and state insurance programs to identify coverage improvements and cost saving initiatives.
- Evaluate and update employee onboarding documents.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and drive employee retention and engagement.
- Coordinate employee parties and events.
- Develop and implement additional employee programs to improve job satisfaction and encourage employees to share concerns and ideas.
- Evaluate and develop additional benefits and employment perks for tenured employees.
- Develop and implement a recruiting program with a multi-layered approach using KPIs for onboarding and other techniques to ensure faster employee attainment and greater job satisfaction.
- Create a recruiting network and identify other avenues for recruiting that may include job posting platforms.
- Mentor and coach leaders in the organization on employee relations and development areas.
- Serve as an intermediary between management and employees by assisting with PIPs, evaluations, and write-ups.
- Conduct exit interviews.
- Evaluate employee compensation for market suitability.
- Review employee benefit offerings annually with broker and suggest updates and additional offerings when necessary.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or equivalent field
- 3+ years of experience as an HR Manager
- Generalist human resources experience
- Experience leading team members across multi-states with different labor regulations
- Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now or other equivalent software payroll systems
- Experience with M&A and integrations from an HR standpoint is a plus
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with pivot tables and formulas
