Job Title: SAP EPPM Consultant with Construction Accounting Expertise

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP EPPM (Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management) Consultant with a strong background in construction accounting to join our team in Atlanta. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and supporting SAP EPPM solutions tailored to the construction industry, ensuring seamless integration with financial processes. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and a strong on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SAP EPPM Implementation:
  • Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP EPPM modules, including Project Systems (PS), Portfolio Management (PPM), and Commercial Project Management (CPM) specific to construction projects.
  • Ensure the alignment of SAP EPPM functionalities with construction accounting requirements, such as cost tracking, budgeting, forecasting, and revenue recognition.
  • Construction Accounting Integration:
  • Integrate SAP EPPM with SAP S/4HANA Finance modules, focusing on the specific needs of construction accounting, including job costing, project invoicing, and contract management.
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with industry standards.
  • Project Management:
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure successful project delivery within scope, time, and budget.
  • Provide leadership in the identification and resolution of issues related to project delivery and SAP EPPM functionality.
  • User Training and Support:
  • Develop and deliver training programs for end-users, ensuring they are well-versed in using SAP EPPM for construction accounting tasks.
  • Provide ongoing support to users, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to the SAP EPPM system.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in SAP EPPM and construction accounting practices.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of project management and accounting processes.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience with SAP EPPM, including hands-on configuration and implementation in a construction environment.
  • Strong experience in construction accounting, with a deep understanding of cost management, revenue recognition, and financial reporting for construction projects.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA and integration with finance modules is highly preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in SAP EPPM modules (PS, PPM, CPM).
  • Strong understanding of construction project lifecycle and related financial processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into SAP solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Project management skills with a focus on delivering complex SAP implementations on time and within budget.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP certification in EPPM or related modules.
  • Experience working in a consulting environment or with multiple clients in the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific compliance and regulatory requirements.

Working Conditions:

  • This position is based in Atlanta, GA, with a requirement for regular office presence.
  • Occasional travel may be required based on project needs.
