Be a part of an organization that works to make a difference in the lives of its patients by encouraging you to be at your best every day.Position Responsibilities:* Planning, directing, and supervising coding staff to ensure timely, accurate, and complete processing of clinic services* Ensuring the precertification process for all surgical procedures for all providers is completed in a timely manner* Acting as a liaison between the precertification department and other departments regarding surgical authorizations* Overseeing communications with physicians regarding their coding process* Staying current on coding changes and regulations and communicating such changes to staff and physicians* Continuously reviewing departmental processes and implementing changes as needed to remain adaptable in the ever-changing healthcare environment* Providing leadership and support for complex issues that arise* Analyzing monthly reports regarding practice operations as well as the status of goals and objectives of each department* Ensuring training for development of departmental staff* Reporting any issues or concerns to the Revenue Cycle Manager in a timely manner* Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulationsRequirements:* Knowledge of medical terminology* Ability to communicate knowledgeably and effectively with many different insurance carriers on a daily basis* Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills - ability to effectively communicate and interact with patients, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds* Proven ability to build relationships with and influence all levels within the organization* Knowledge of personal computer applications and Electronic Medical Record* High school diploma or equivalent* Degree or certificate in Health or Business Administration preferred* Two years of medical office management or similar management experience preferredORA Orthopedics is the Quad Cities largest and most comprehensive orthopedic provider, proudly offering an integrated continuum of orthopedic care that includes orthopedic sub-specialty clinics, walk-in care at our Urgent OrthoCARE clinics, diagnostic imaging, bracing, physical therapy, pharmacy and outpatient surgery.
