Role Description

This is a contract role for a Senior Information Technology Architect (Consultant) at SPORDA Tech in New York, NY. The Senior IT Architect will have considerable experience in technical leadership for enterprise-level Open Source information technology efforts. The consultant will lead a technical team through analysis, design, development, unit/integration and performance testing for IT Program Management Office (PMO) enhancements. designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable IT infrastructure solutions. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, evaluating emerging technologies, and providing strategic recommendations for IT architecture.


Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent, in a technology related field.
  • 10+ years’ experience leading a team of software application developers.
  • 10+ years’ experience in object-oriented design, development, testing and deployment of mission critical business applications, and on web/client-server environments.
  • 7+ years of hands-on development experience with projects involving the full stack Ruby on Rails 5.x with other Open-Source technologies such as Ruby 2.x, RVM, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, ReactJS, LeafletJS, jQuery, DataTables, Bootstrap, AngularJS, BackboneJS,
  • PostgreSQL 9.x, Apache, Tomcat, Linux, Ubuntu, Redis and Memcache.

  • Must be a Green Card holder or a US Citizen and willing to work on site in New York City
