Warehouse WorkerThe primary role of a Warehouse Worker is to efficiently receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items within a stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. The position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain organized storage areas.Responsibilities:Receive and count stock items, recording data manually or using computer systems.Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, investigating discrepancies, and adjusting errors as necessary.Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other designated areas.Label stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.Keep records on the usage and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.Essential Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work well in a team environment and detail-oriented.Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies for effective local, state, or national security operations.Additional Skills & Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required.5-7 years of relevant experience, preferably in roles such as Material Handler.Experience in picking and packing.Why Work Here?Join a team that values a strong work ethic and attention to detail. You will be working in a warehouse environment, handling a variety of tasks related to inventory management and stock organization. The position requires adherence to safety protocols and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.Job Type & Location:This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparks, NV.Pay and Benefits:The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
