JOB SUMMARY Responsible for managing health problems and coordinating health care for the perioperative patient in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations and the nursing standards of care (assessment of health status, diagnosis, development of plan of care and treatment, implementation of treatment plan, and evaluation of patient status). Perioperative preparation and postoperative clinical management is conducted in collaboration with other health care team members. This position reports to the Practice Administrator JOB DESCRIPTION Under the direction of the Practice Administrator, the Nurse Practitioner will: Assist physician in providing exceptional patient care and service Perform patient exams, history & physicals Maintain updated patient records Order and analyze test results, consult with provider to create treatment plans Administer treatments as directed by physician Complete orders and charges efficiently Serve as a trusted resource for patients, offering guidance on their ongoing care, counseling, and critical conditions JOB REQUIREMENTS Advanced Practice Professional Degree in Medicine/Osteopathy/Nursing or Physician Assistant Professional Degree Florida medical license, DEA license Minimum 3 years' experience preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to complete required office tasks (order, notes, EMR records, charges etc.) in a timely manner Proficient computer skills and ability to navigate and operate EMR system Ability to effectively manage time-expectation is for provider to begin office hours on time and to stick to the schedule throughout the day Employer strongly discourages the rescheduling of patient appointments with minimal prior notification to the office staff (i.e., less than 1 week notice) except for emergency situations. Employer expects all providers to treat patients, staff, physicians, and their peers with respect and professionalism. Please see Employer's Policy Code of Conduct/Disruptive Provider Policy. HOURS AND WORKING CONDITIONS Our Florida Clinics are typically open Monday through Friday. Work hours are subject to change.
