Position Summary: The Per Diem Float Registered Nurse provides skilled nursing care across multiple hospital units as needed, including Medical/Surgical, ER, Long-Term Care, Transitional Rehab, and Geriatric Behavioral Medicine. This role demands flexibility, clinical competence, and the ability to adapt quickly to different care settings and patient populations. Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols Monitor patient conditions and report changes promptly Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care Provide patient and family education and emotional support Document nursing care accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients Adhere to infection control, safety, and hospital policies at all times Demonstrate flexibility by working across different hospital units as staffing needs require Qualifications: Current Nevada Registered Nurse (RN) licensure Minimum of 3 year of clinical nursing experience preferred in ER, Acute Care Setting, and Float BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred or required depending on unit assignment Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Adaptability to work varied shifts and different unit environments Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist patients as needed Ability to perform physical assessments and handle emergency situations Benefits: Competitive per diem pay Flexible scheduling Access to hospital resources and professional development Opportunity to work in diverse clinical settings within one organization Supportive work culture with a focus on patient-centered care Why Join Boulder City Hospital?
