US-Offsite is seeking a talented Prefabrication Production Level 5 (LEAD) – Electrical Craftsman to lead a high-performance team with the manufacturing of modular residential construction projects in Shasta County, ranging from ADUs to small multifamily projects. Our growth plan includes expanding operations to large multifamily projects across the West Coast by late 2024. Responsibilities
- Lead craftsmen with the manufacturing of 3,000 – 6,000 sq. ft. of modular residential construction per month across specific trades, e.g., framing to finishes.
- Training and managing a skilled workforce of up to 5 craftsmen within the prefabrication plant.
- Clean and prepare the manufacturing floor by removing debris and possible hazards.
- Load and unload building materials and equipment.
- Operate and control heavy-duty equipment and machinery for moving materials on the floor.
- Follow construction plans, blueprints, and instructions provided by the Prefab Production Superintendent.
- Cultivate a high-performing factory culture characterized by respect and honor for every team member.
- Raise up leadership in specific areas of production to perpetuate company values as we grow the team.
- Enforcing job safety standards and ensuring compliance with all OSHA regulations to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Handle delegated authority from the Owner, Executive Team, and Prefab Production Superintendent as appropriate, providing leadership and contributing to the company's success.
- Review all plans before manufacturing for constructability, providing expert advice to the design team and ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
- Proficient in reviewing and reading construction plans and specifications.
- Competent in California Residential Code or California Building Code.
- Proven experience coaching and leading teams.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Experience managing work crews, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
- Familiarity with all residential trades (e.g., earthwork, utilities, concrete, framing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, and finish carpentry).
- Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently orally and in writing regarding technical building details.
- Legal Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Background Check Compliance: Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local laws and regulations.
- Drug Test Compliance: Willingness to take a drug test in accordance with local laws and regulations.
Working Conditions
- Standing and Walking: Employees may be required to stand or walk for extended periods while performing tasks.
- Bending, Stooping, and Kneeling: The job may involve frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling to access materials, work at various heights, or perform assembly tasks.
- Repetitive Motions: Certain tasks may require repetitive motions such as grasping, twisting, or reaching. These could include fastening components, handling small parts, or operating machinery.
- Physical Demands: The role requires the ability to perform heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects weighing up to 150 pounds. Additionally, candidates must be capable of climbing and working from ladders up to 36 feet in height.
- Manual Dexterity: Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination may be necessary for assembling components, operating tools, or performing quality control checks.
- Working in Confined Spaces: This job may require employees to work in confined spaces or tight quarters, which could involve additional physical challenges related to maneuvering and accessing work areas.
- Environmental Conditions: This job may require exposure to various unusual elements, including extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, biohazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises.
Compensation
- $33 - $40 per hour, depending on experience
Benefits
- Total Comp including benefits: $39.17 - $45.38
- Mileage on personal vehicles is paid at 67 cents per mile
- Benefits-eligible after 90-day probation
- 80 hours of Vacation (Accrued Annually) increases annually.
- 24 hours of sick pay per year
- 5 paid holidays: New Year's Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
- Medical, Vision, and Dental, with partial compensation by US Offsite
